Dear Risk and Compliance Management
Professional,
Basel iii is a major
challenge and a major opportunity. I invite you to connect
with the global community of risk and compliance management
professionals, to gain insight into the G20 efforts to regulate
the global financial system, to explore new career avenues and
most of all, to acquire lifelong skills.

We have seen it again, but after the crisis
it is going to be much better. Countries
will try to persuade the world that they are serious in risk and
compliance management. Banks will try to persuade their home and
host countries and their clients, that they understand their
risks, and they comply with the Basel iii implementation rules.
Financial organizations compete to attract
the professionals that can provide independent evidence that they
are qualified. Compliance will be used as a marketing tool, as a
competitive advantage.
The members of the Basel ii Compliance
Professionals Association (BCPA), the largest Association of Basel
ii professionals in the world, will not automatically become
members of the Basel iii Compliance Professionals Association
(BiiiCPA). To become a member you must sign up, as we must comply
with US and international laws and regulations, including the new
privacy related laws around the world.
The Basel iii Compliance Professionals
Association (BiiiCPA) has established the
Basel III Speakers Bureau
for firms and organizations that want to access the Basel iii
expertise of Certified Basel iii Professionals (CBiiiPros).
The BiiiCPA will be the liaison between our certified
professionals and these organizations, at no cost. We strongly
believe that this can be a great opportunity for both, our
certified professionals and the organizers.

Basel III is Basel II plus the lessons
learned from the market crisis. We strongly
